Strengths and Cautions

Strengths

  • Best-in-field instruction adherence: 94.9 score earns the #1 rank of 32 in Instruction Following, beating every competing model in the cohort.
  • Elite writing quality: 93.6 places it #3 of 32 in Writing, in the leader tier alongside only two higher-ranked models.
  • Reliable factual grounding: 93.8 Hallucination score (#11 of 32) keeps it in the strong tier for accuracy-sensitive tasks.

Cautions

  • High per-case cost at $0.0156 (#28 of 32) — only four models in the cohort cost more, and peers like GPT 5 Mini deliver comparable quality at roughly a quarter the price.
  • Extraction lags its peer group: 84.2 (#16 of 32) trails most top-10 quality competitors and is the weakest category score for the model.
  • Not the top quality option: eight models score higher overall, including GPT 5 (95.04), Gemini 3 Pro (93.17), and stablemate Claude Opus 4.6 (92.78).

Each contestant is scored by a panel of four independent judges — Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude Opus 4.7, GPT 5.5, and Mistral Large — with final scores averaged across all four. Cost and speed measurements reflect API pricing and latency as of the test date (May 10, 2026) and will change as providers update their offerings.
